Alain Bergeron was born in 1950 and lives in Sainte-Foy Quebec. His fiction has won numerous French language SF awards including the Prix Solaris, the  Prix Boreal and two Prix Auroras. More recently, Alain's short story The Eighth Register (Northern Suns) won a 1999 Sidewise Award for Alternate History.
